STEM NEEDS AN “A”.

Problem solving education in the 21st century no doubt requires a STEM approach. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are essential #critical #thinking and #problem #solving drivers.

However, even though I operate in this area as a Physics Teacher, I believe that our famous STEM needs an “A” to form STEAM.

#Art still remains a most profound tool of #self #expression. It is a major driver of #critical #skills like #creativity. Hence my incorporation of #Art into Physics which I call #ArtyPhysics.

More importantly, Art brings out the life and color in any theme. With Art, I am able to present #Physics as a colorful and practical subject as against the generally held belief that #Physics is bland and boring.
